“Had a good time”:

This song was written after our Ireland/England-Tour 2001. On the first view it is a song about the tour but on the second view you will see it is a song about friendship. It is dedicated to our friends: Tony Moore, Pierce Cullen, Rory O’Mahony, Barry Barnes, Jed Thomas, Janet & Jake at Harrogate, all the people at the Limelight (Crewe) and the Robin 2 (Bilston) and all our friends in Ireland and England that we´ve found in all the places we played during our several tours and we are going to find during our forthcoming tour(s).

“Let’s go to work”:

This song is dedicated to the memory of Rory Gallagher (1948-1995).

Let’s go to work
Dedicated to the memory of Rory Gallagher

Behind the stage I’m runnin’ wild
My pulse is racing like a child
From outside I hear them shout
They want the band to come on out
Let’s go to work, come on let’s go
It’s time for us to start the show
The crowd is stompin’ with their shoes
Let’ go to work, and play the blues.

Take my guitar, a guitar pick
A bottleneck, a set of strings
On the stage my working place
A guitar amp, a mike to sing
Let’s go to work, that’s what I shout
The first chord rings, the lights go out
Let’s start our thing and please the crowd
Let’s go to work and play real loud.

Another night, another stage
Another country, other town
There’s no one there
To keep me chained
I still must travel ‘round and ‘round.

This guitar makes me sing and cry
These silver strings bring me to life
Two hours have passed, the people roar
They calling for a third encore
Let’s go to work, let’s play our best
Go out again, we’ve passed the test
I hear them calling out my name
Let’s go (back) to work and fan the flame.

The hotel bar is closing down
I’m sleepless in my hotel room
I’m feeling lonely feeling down
I know I must get out of here real soon.
Let’s go to work, let’s go on stage
I’m like a tiger in a cage
I’m wondering am I right or wrong
Let’s go to work and play along.

Had a good time

Packed our things head on the road drivin’ to Calais
To play the Limelight Club in Crewe just the other day.
Sleeping in the Ashbank Pub five man in one room
The guitar man he snored too loud they kicked me off real soon.

And when the show started the crowd get real wild
The band played like crazy, and all had a good time.

Travelling on to Ireland then on the other day
To play a pub called Brog Maker, we stayed there for two days.
Pierce, Rory and everybody around in Kilkenny
Were really nice, we call our friends, sad we had to leave.

And when the show started the crowd get real wild
The band played like crazy, and all had a good time.

Hogs Head, Pine Lodge, Coopers Bar lying on our way
To play a club in Midleton, they call “The Meeting Place”.
The man who makes this going on, Tony Moore, a real fine guy,
He managed everything around, to keep Rory alive.

Goin’ back to England then the tour takes us around,
At “The Robin Two” we start again, Keith Biggs makes a great sound
Manchester and Leeds we play with Barry Barnes and Jed,
In Harrogate we got nice friends called Jake and Janet.

And when the show started the crowd get real wild
The band played like crazy, and all had a good time.

In Wallesey near Liverpool we met a dog named bounce
His master Eric got us gigs, we stayed there in his house.
The last gig was in Crewe again, and just after the show
We packed our things head on the road, started driving home.
